Shipping Terms and Conditions

Shipping Policy

Information regarding USPS and the issues they are having is below my shipping terms, which is here:

Please check your email for your shipping notification.  It is automatically emailed to the email address on your order when I create your shipping label.  I create labels in bulk first, then work on getting those out, so it might be a day or two after when it actually goes out, but check your email! And make sure to check your spam folder.  If you got your order confirmation in your regular inbox, then you will get the shipping notification.  If your order confirmation went to spam, your shipping confirmation likely will as well, so move it into your regular inbox, and the email server will know those are not spam in the future.

It typically will take 5 to 7 business days to ship, but there are times that it can take a bit longer. It happens often. I may get a rush of orders, and fall behind, or sometimes plants need to dry a bit more in order to safely ship. I have never not sent an order, so patience is always appreciated! I’m a small business, and I do the very best that I can to pack each plant individually with love. My #1 goal is the plants get to you with no damage, it is not speed. If you are looking for speed, instead of careful and thoughtful packing, then I may not be the right shop for your needs. I’m well known for very careful and thoughtful packing, I take my job seriously and do everything I can to get the plants to you with no damage whatsoever. I ship in the order in which I receive the orders, except that UPS orders can take a little longer, as they can only go out on Mondays and Tuesdays (and sometimes Wednesdays). I try to get these out, but sometimes I am not able to get them all packed and gone in time, so they go out the following Monday. I can rush orders occasionally for people, who request it in advance, and need it rushed (not just being impatient) for a good reason. I will be working on getting another person to help soon, but w/ COVID, and my son’s health issues, and he not being vaccinated yet, I would just rather work extra hours, and wait a just a bit longer. Hopefully not much longer!

USPS ISSUES:

USPS has recently implemented some changes, none of which are good.  They were already bad with delays, but as of Oct 1, 2021, they’re slowing our mail down even more, and at the same time, increasing their prices.  Use USPS at your own risk.  UPS is a great alternative, they’re extremely reliable, and it’s very rare to have any delays at all.  It’s worth the extra cost, in my opinion, to ensure safe and prompt delivery.  It can take 4 or 5 days for parcels to reach the west coast from my location (Knoxville, TN), but the plants do just fine with that short time, especially considering UPS is much more easy on the parcels than USPS.  I rarely see a crushed box or a delay with UPS, whereas with USPS it’s a very frequent occurrence.  With that said, if you use USPS and have issues with damage or delays, you can file a claim on your own behalf, more information about this is below, as well as a link to file a claim.

SHIPPING AND RETURN POLICY:

Shipping live plants comes with risks that is unfortunately out of our control. I pack my plants with extreme care, but that’s not always enough, due to USPS.  I ship USPS Priority or UPS. USPS Priority comes with $50 insurance automatically and additional insurance is available if requested (at a cost). I cannot be responsible for losses, damages, delays that occur after the plants leave my workshop.  Claims can be filed for losses/damages on USPS website by the buyer if needed. Link for claims is here:  https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm

If there is damage that occurs due to UPS loss or delays, I believe the shipper has to file the claim, so notify me, and I will gladly file a claim on your behalf, and reimburse you as soon as they send the payment.

With that said, if you have a problem with your order upon receipt, please take photos of your plant(s), and message me!  I would be happy to help.
